Silence

July 25 1925 - January 30 1969. The years Meher Baba observed perfect silence. A time of preparation for the New Humanity when history underwent a free fall of change. We are all aware of the mind-numbing changes that occurred during that period. Scientific knowledge exploded, and as a consequence engineering and technology transformed the mode of living all over the world. The external modes of living for an American, city dweller or country person, were more radically altered between 1925 and 1969 that any 44-year period in human history. America had a great destiny as the cradle of the New Humanity. In 1969 a day or two before Meher Baba discarded His body, He uttered one Word, as He had promised. The Silence ended and the sound of sounds punched a hole through the veils of illusion, allowing natural light to pour through.
